Safe distancing and booking of buses during COVID-19 with private bus companies in Singapore
We will like to inform customers that there is no requirement for safe distancing on your bus bookings post ‘circuit breaker’ period from 2nd June 2020 onwards.
According to LTA’s advisory to bus companies in Singapore, safe distancing is now not mandatory on private buses. However, please do note that all passengers must wear a mask at all times when they are onboard and they should not interact amongst passengers
Our Company’s stance is to allow for customers to decide if they wish to implement safe distancing on buses, if so, we will make the arrangements for the appropriate bus size optimized for spacing out passengers in the cabin.
Bus capacity recommendations are as follows:
Mandatory mask-wearing by commuters
In light of MOH’s latest advisory, it is mandatory, with immediate effect, for all to wear masks when they are outside of their homes. This also applies to passengers travelling onboard an Excursion Bus, Private Hire Bus, Private Bus or School Bus. As such, bus driver(s) are to disallow any passenger who is not wearing a mask from boarding any bus(es). The bus driver(s) shall also take appropriate action to ask the passenger to wear his/her mask if the passenger removes his/her mask while travelling in the bus(es). For any uncooperative passenger onboard bus(es) who refuses to wear a mask, the bus driver shall stop the bus at a location that does not obstruct traffic flow and is safe for alighting, and ask the passenger to alight. For abusive passengers, the Police will be called for assistance.
We encourage our customers to play their part in social responsibility and to take actions that complement the wider situation pertaining to safe distancing.
